The Multicurrency Wallet (MCW) is a new and improved way of receiving Kinguin Balance from sales for handling international transactions. Under this system, each merchant is required to select one preferred settlement currency. This chosen currency becomes the final currency into which all completed transactions are converted. Additionally, the exchange is performed automatically using the rate set at the time of the customer’s purchase.
In other words selecting a preferred currency will trigger an automatic exchange of your balance at the end of the review period for each transaction. This means you won't have to manually exchange your balance if you want it in a specific currency. In the MCW view, the "EXCHANGE" button will be removed from the dashboard, and replaced by the automated process.
After the review period, you can request a payout of your Balance. If you haven't set your favorite currency up until this point, the system will ask you to do so. If you mistakenly choose an incorrect currecncy you can contact your account manager or send a ticket to Kinguin Customer Support to set a correct one.
When a customer completes a purchase, the IWTR first appears in the PENDING WITHDRAWABLE section. The funds remain there during the review period. Once the review period is successfully completed, the Balance moves to the AVAILABLE WITHDRAWABLE section, where you can request a payout.
If you prefer not to wait until the review period ends, you may request a release of your Balance (to the AVAILABLE SPENDABLE).
To maintain full transparency, all automated exchanges are recorded and accessible in BALANCE → EXCHANGE HISTORY, where you can review detailed information about each conversion.
